We have many British Canoeing (The UK's governing authority for all paddle sports) trained staff to coach, instructor and/or sea kayak leader levels. The owner and centre manager has around 30 years maritime experience along the North Devon coastline, nearly 10 years as a professional maritime search and rescue trainer in North Devon for HM Coastguard and, RYA qualifications to advanced level. Vince - Owner/Centre Manager

Nearly 16 years service with HM Coastguard including 9 years as the full time manager for North Devon / Somerset and technical rescue instructor. He holds British Canoeing UKCC Level 2 coach and sea kayak leader qualifications. RYA advanced qualifications in both sail and power. There are probably very few people more qualified and experienced to give the best advice for in and around Combe Martin bay.
Will - Guide Kayak Instructor

Joined us in 2018 with a host of outdoor qualifications and experience. He is a British Canoeing level 1 coach and has been kayaking since the age of 5. Will loves everything to do with the outdoors including climbing and has been a member of the Scout organisation since the age of 5.

Joined us in 2018, Jake is very keen in anything associated with the sea. He is a qualified level 1 instructor as well as a fully qualified scuba diver. He has gained plenty of maritime knowledge and experience with the sea cadets.

A massively talented paddler, Steve aka Chivs has paddled and competed all over the world. His passions are kayak and wave ski surfing but also enjoys every style of kayaking. If he is not paddling then he will most likely be out on one of his motor bikes.

He provides the team with endless entertainment and is very good at dealing with customers. He loves his tech and also playing rugby for his school.

We have known Kim for over 30 years and having spent many years working in South Africa she has now returned to her roots here in North Devon. She learnt to SUP in SA and has paddled with some of the worlds greatest paddlers.

Joined us in late 2021. Locally born with an extensive family farming history here in Combe Martin. He enjoys his football along with being on the water and has already proven to be a great asset to ur team.

Locally born, Ex army PT and kayak instructor Mike just loves being on the water and telling people all about our beautiful coastline and heritage. Mike's father was a well respected mariner and ex harbour master of Watermouth, many of his salty tales have been past down.
Johnny - Tour Guide Kayak Instructor

Has been a keen kayaker for a number of years and joined us in 2018 after qualifying as a kayak instructor. He has a great passion for the water and is often spotted kayaking or swimming when not working. He is also a talented singer, just ask for a bit of Elvis!!

A family member, Connor has been working in the hospitality industry for the last few years. Connor is a keen kayaker especially surf kayaking. He is a qualified BC instructor and also a keen snowboarder during the winter months.

Joined us in early 2021. Enjoys surfing, kayaking and generally being in an active outdoor environment. He is excellent with customers and rapidly progressed to be one of our kayak guides.

Joined us in early 2021 and is the 3rd family member that has started their seasonal employment with us. Ben is keen member of the sea cadets and loves being on the water.
